This upgrade of the Server Configuration Tool should be done using the same user account (for example: user2) that was previously used to deploy and configure XenApp 6.0 for example: user2). If this is not the case, then you will see two versions of the XenApp Server Configuration Tool in the original user account that initiated the XenApp 6.0 Installation (in this example it is User1).
However, only one version of the binary is installed in the actual installation directory (defaults to c:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\XenApp\ServerConfig)
You must be a XenApp Farm administrator to invoke a XenApp Leave operation because this operation invokes specific operation on the data collector. If you attempt to run Leave operation using a user account that is not a XenApp administrator, you get a message that says “One or more of the IMA Services failed to unregister themselves from the farm. Error Code: -2147483626”. [CPR 233666]
Note: The XenApp Create operation is a similar case, however the user account invoking a XenApp Join operation does not have to be a XenApp farm administrator because the Join operation takes place when the Citrix Independent Management Architecture Service starts after a reboot.
This tool provides detailed information about the various HDX technologies, their performance, and diagnostics information. It is a similar tool as HDX Experience Monitor for XenDesktop. The HDX technologies covered by this tool are as follows:
The XenApp 6 Migration Tool, version 6.1 comprises PowerShell commands packaged as a PowerShell 2.0 module.
Citrix Administrators can leverage the use of these PowerShell commands to export all server and farm settings/policies, applications, folders, load evaluators and administrators to quickly setup a new XenApp 6 environment that inherits these settings. This versionsupersedes the initial version, 6.0, and includes additional performance gains and addresses some known issues.
