Application Signature Protection for CVE-2014-6271 Shellshock Vulnerability for NetScaler

Alexander Ervik Johnsen Application Signature Protection, Citrix, NetScaler 2014-09-29

NetScaler supports new Application signature protections that enable rapid deployment of the Firewall to protect web applications against known vulnerabilities. Application Signatures are based on publicly reported vulnerability databases (I.e Snort). Please see the AppFw Signature documentation at AppFw docs  for more details.

Signature protections are complimentary to the other security features available in the AppFirewall.  Both of these can be used simultaneously to become a Hybrid model —which provide flexible and comprehensive security protection to applications that require them.

Note : Please select the latest version of Signatures based on your Netscaler release and build number. You can obtain your release and build number via the “show version” CLI command.
