Scaling IT Support and Collaboration for Today’s Global and Mobile Workforce
Traditional IT methods of supporting people and network infrastructure does not scale within today’s global, distributed and mobile workforces. As more employees are mobile and bring their own devices to work, IT is faced with an increasingly challenging situation, The reliance on the traditional break/fix model where IT professionals fix issues after they have already occurred, results in ever increasing demands which cannot be readily met.
Citrix has turned this model on its head by helping IT professionals prevent issues from occurring in the first place, through the ability to proactively monitor and manage attended and unattended computers in their environment from anywhere. This innovative approach has seen GoToManage achieve a leading position in the market with rapid customer growth across all markets. That leadership is being expanded as GoToManage is now available in French and German.
“With new challenges facing the IT and contact center environments today, businesses require solutions that can quickly and easily increase productivity and flexibility,” says Elizabeth Cholawsky, VP and GM, IT Services Line of Business, Citrix. “With enhanced support, these global markets will now have access to the same tools that are helping businesses worldwide cope with the new realities of the global economy.”
As today’s economy becomes more globalized, businesses increasingly demand simple and cost-effective tools to improve productivity through online collaboration. By meeting this need head-on, GoToMeeting has experienced tremendous growth worldwide. And with new support for its services for Italian and Spanish speakers, the company is set to surpass its 25% revenue growth in 2010, which was recently highlighted by Frost & Sullivan when the analyst firm awarded Citrix with its 2011 Global Market Penetration Leadership Award.
“Today’s businesses demand affordable and easy-to-use options for collaborating via the web,” says Bernardo de Albergaria, VP and GM, Collaboration Line of Business, Citrix. “We have experienced solid growth in Europe and elsewhere by providing customers with great user experiences and the ability to be more productive. We’re confident that this focus on simplicity and value will continue to serve us as we expand into these new markets.”
