eG Innovations Monitoring Capabilities for Microsoft Office 365

In-depth observability and analytics for Microsoft Office 365 provides performance assurance for organizations moving to the cloud

eG Innovations has announced that it has expanded its monitoring portfolio to deliver performance visibility of Microsoft Office 365. The new capabilities will help organizations get in-depth insights into Office 365 access, usage, connectivity and performance, and enhance end user experience and business productivity.

eG Innovations’ flagship IT monitoring software, eG Enterprise, includes pre-built support to monitor many Microsoft technologies and platforms including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Hyper-V Server, and Microsoft SQL Server. In May 2018, eG Enterprise introduced application performance monitoring (APM) capabilities for Microsoft .NET applications, delivering distributed transaction tracing and code-level visibility to accelerate troubleshooting of performance slowdowns.

The new monitoring capabilities for Microsoft Office 365 are focused on addressing the needs of organizations that are going through digital transformation and cloud-driven initiatives. “We see a surge in companies that are migrating to the cloud. Office 365 has been one of the hottest technologies in the cloud, allowing employees to benefit from on-the-go connectivity to their critical business applications. Expanding our monitoring portfolio to provide performance analytics of Office 365 applications will allow us to help organizations achieve the best levels of performance and user experience they expect from their cloud investments,” said Srinivas Ramanathan, CEO of eG Innovations.

Key Capabilities of eG Enterprise for Microsoft Office 365 Monitoring:

  • Get real-time insights on Office 365 health and service quality across all locations and users
  • Track the health of critical services, including Office 365, Exchange Online, Skype for Business, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, etc.
  • Monitor real-time digital experience of users connecting to SharePoint Online sites and measure user satisfaction levels
  • Get centralized visibility of your organization’s Office 365 email usage and optimize resource provisioning with actionable insights
  • Stay compliant with audits by tracking user activity and isolating unusual patterns
  • Leverage the built-in logon simulator to synthetically test logon connectivity to Exchange Online and proactively catch issues before users complain

The end-to-end monitoring capabilities of eG Enterprise are aimed at enabling IT administrators to troubleshoot performance issues faster, increase IT operational efficiency and deliver best-in-class digital experience for Office 365 end users. When a user calls with slow connectivity complaint, using built-in correlative intelligence and automatic root cause diagnosis, eG Enterprise points out if it’s due to a problem in the cloud, network, or on the client side.

“Microsoft Office 365 is at the heart of most businesses today. Any service outage or performance slowdown affects user productivity and business continuity. We have seen a great demand from our customers for monitoring Office 365. The new capabilities are a timely addition to the in eG Enterprise suite,” said Sean Martin, Technical Director of eGSolutions Ltd., a long-term eG Innovations partner and certified reseller in Australia and New Zealand.

eG Enterprise is available as a SaaS-based service or an on-premises software for Microsoft Office 365 monitoring. Learn more at: www.eginnovations.com/Office365.

eG Innovations will be showcasing the new Office 365 monitoring capabilities at Microsoft Ignite 2018 between September 24 and 28, 2018. Visit the eG Innovations booth #1243 to watch live product demonstrations.
