Goliath Technologies, a leader in end-user experience monitoring and troubleshooting software for hybrid cloud environments, has announced the release of Goliath Performance Monitor 11.9.2. New features include a Citrix NetScaler Module and industry-only VMware Horizon End-User Experience Scorecard.
The new Citrix NetScaler Module adds enhanced monitoring intelligence for Citrix NetScaler (a.k.a. ADC or Application Delivery Controller), expanding the scope of Goliath’s proactive end-user experience monitoring and troubleshooting software. The module enables automatic scanning and identification of performance issues, faults, and errors taking place on the NetScaler.
Critical data is gathered and displayed in monitoring dashboards and troubleshooting views through Goliath’s intelligent Automatic Citrix Discovery and Dependency Map, enabling IT administrators to conduct contextual analysis. This functionality expedites root cause analysis and identification of performance issues in the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. In addition, proactive alerting based on corporate or industry standards can be set to notify IT admins in advance of issues.
“The Goliath Performance Monitor 11.9.2 release expands on Goliath’s embedded Citrix intelligence and automation, proactively alerting IT admins on NetScaler issues that could impact user experience,” notes Ted Rainey, Senior Director of Product Management at Goliath. “Given the critical Secure Access Gateway role that NetScaler ADC provides in enabling remote access to Citrix environments, this release could not come at a better time. IT Pros are battling to quickly troubleshoot issues and ensure a positive end-user experience with the continued trend of “Work From Anywhere” and the shortage of Citrix experts.”
“NetScaler is the most critical part of any Citrix deployment,” noted Brian Diamond, CEO of LANStatus, a Citrix Platinum partner and Goliath service partner. “Goliath’s unique dependency mapping capability provides much needed visibility into the performance of this component of an end-user computing infrastructure.”
The release also includes enhanced user experience analytics for enterprises utilizing VMware Horizon, such as an industry-only End-User Experience Scorecard. This new feature enables IT decisionmakers to objectively view the quality of end-user experience, instead of relying on subjective feedback or point-in-time surveys. This allows IT teams to report on end-user experience metrics with definitive proof and how they compare to industry best practices.
Benchmark your end user experience against industry standards with Goliath’s new Citrix and Vmware End User Experience Scorecard. Subjective surveys and point-in-time user feedback are imperfect and inaccurate ways to measure performance. Further, most reports focus on individual IT elements whether it be network, storage, server, etc., not on the end user and their actual experience. Goliath Performance Monitor supports both VMware vSphere monitoring and troubleshooting and VMware Horizon monitoring and troubleshooting. Goliath Performance Monitor for VMware is purpose-built to find common failure points that exist with complex VDI infrastructures whether the element is part of VMware or the supporting delivery infrastructure
Goliath created this End User Experience Scorecard to offer insights into how your end users experience compares to industry best practices. With objective data, you can now report on to management with definitive proof of end user experience forensics.
Goliath Performance Monitor with embedded intelligence and automation enables IT professionals to anticipate, troubleshoot, and document end user experience issues regardless of where IT workloads or users are located. It focuses on the 3 main areas most likely to cause support tickets to be opened: initiating a logon, the logon process, and in-session performance. Our technology is designed to proactively alert you to end user experience issues before they happen and if they do give you the data to troubleshoot it quickly. Then, provide you the objective evidence in the form of reports and historical metrics so that proof exists to justify fix actions to prevent future issues.
As Goliath Performance Monitor continues to optimize the unified view of end-user experience data across any hybrid landscape using Citrix or VMware delivery systems, IT is well positioned to proactively ensure a trouble-free digital computing experience for remote and mobile workforces, regardless of where the users or workloads are located.
