HDX 3d Pro for Dummies

Just a quick teaser into what to expect from the HDX 3d Pro for Dummies aka SYN238 at Citrix Synergy 2016. Thomas Poppelgaard and I , have what we think a good selection of what you need to get started and understand why GPUs and vGPUs are here to stay in this EUC world. With Windows 10 out in the open for a good amount of time now, and a new OS on the server side soon to be dropped, you need to get prepped for what’s next. It might be so that your current environment works fine with 2012 r2 and XenApp 7.8 without a GPU, but rest assured, there will be consequences! Learn why you need to care about GPUs in any environment in the upcoming years. More and more Apps also hungers for GPU power along side with CPU, so although you might be fine today, you might find yourself in a dilemma in the future…

Key take aways from our joint session will be:

  • When to use which GPU and why you need to pay attention
  • Are you GPU ready when thinking of Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 ?
  • Experiences from the field
  • When to use Thinwire+, Framehawk and H264

So head over to your schedule and add SYN238 to it 🙂
