Universal Health Services, Inc. Selects Goliath Technologies to Proactively Monitor Electronic Health Records Applications
Goliath Technologies’ proactive end user experience monitoring and management software suite ensures applications will be available for clinicians 24/7/365 at over 25 acute care hospitals. Goliath Technologies has been selected by Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) to provide Proactive End User Experience Management designed to enable systems administrators to receive advance warning of potential end user experience issues related to their electronic health records applications.
Goliath Performance Monitor is deployed on Citrix servers running Cerner applications and will enable healthcare organizations to get near real-time performance metrics, reporting, and analysis on end user experience and application logon times.
“We selected Goliath Technologies because the end user experience monitoring and management supports Cerner and identifies systems degrading before end user physicians are impacted. We do over 15,000 Cerner application test launches per day. This early warning system coupled with enhanced performance data and analysis puts us in a better position to identify root cause at the hospital location or collaborate with Cerner to resolve issues,” said Mike Nelson, UHS Vice President of Information Services and Business Solutions.
Goliath Logon Simulator proactively logs on to applications and alerts IT administrators to logon failure or slowness before it is noticed by the end user community. The logon simulator can be configured in minutes from any hospital location.
“Our End User Experience Monitoring and Management Technology for Citrix delivered applications is already deployed in hundreds of hospitals across the US, and has been very well received by both hospitals and partners,” said Thomas Charlton, Chairman and CEO of Goliath Technologies.
Charlton continued, “Our strategy of developing technology that improves the experience of clinicians and healthcare workers when they use major electronic health records applications continues to deliver value to all stakeholders who are ultimately concerned with delivering high quality patient care.”
