Liquidware showcases healthcare successes and Citrix Cloud Desktops strategy himss19
Liquidware, the leader in adaptive workspace management, has announced that it will participate at the HIMSS19 conference and expo; demonstrating recent enhancements and industry-first features to its ProfileUnity and FlexApp products, and showcasing compelling new healthcare case studies. The company, which celebrates its tenth birthday this year, will join long-time partner Citrix at the Citrix Ready Partner Pavilion – booth number 527 – at this leading global health information and technology conference, taking place Feb. 11-15, 2019 in Orlando, Fla.
Liquidware’s success in the healthcare industry is well documented and the vertical shares some credit for making it the leading and only remaining independent player in the adaptive workspace management arena. The Liquidware Essentials suite eases the pain for healthcare organizations as they grapple with balancing the everyday challenges of embracing digital transformation along with burdensome HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. This year alone, Liquidware has added on new joint Citrix desktop customers such as the largest children’s healthcare provider in the Southeast as well as in Philadelphia to provide next-generation desktop environments. In addition to that, the team has welcomed additional Citrix customers including the largest university-based healthcare provider in Utah and the largest healthcare provider in the greater Louisville, Kentucky area to design a cloud-ready environment that works best for them whilst significantly decreasing time spent managing desktops.
Last month, Liquidware unveiled several major enhancements to ProfileUnity and FlexApp v6.8. FlexApp’s new industry-firsts include the ability to store FlexApp to Object-Based Cloud Storage, including Amazon S3, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure Blob. Complementary to that, FlexApp Caching makes layered apps readily available even in the face of unstable cloud connections. FlexApp Cloud Apps is another industry-first that makes more than a dozen pre-packaged, cloud-hosted, ready-to-deploy apps available to users for the rapid spin-up of pilot projects and easy cloning for production environments.
Together with FlexApp, ProfileUnity received an update in the form of a New Licensing Server which enables concurrent license models and accurate in-use license counts of both products, a feature that is especially important to healthcare, government and education customers. Finally, both products enjoy faster client execution times thanks to a startup agent that reduces login times by several seconds.
“This is our best release, ever – a true game-changer that will have a significant impact on our joint Citrix and Liquidware healthcare customers,” said Jason E. Smith, VP of Products at Liquidware. “It’s an exciting time to be in the workspace management solutions space. We’re seeing significant momentum in the movement of desktops to the cloud, with partners using Liquidware to liberate user profiles from legacy on-prem for the move to cloud-based desktops as a service (DaaS) such as Citrix virtual apps and desktops on Azure or Google Cloud. The healthcare industry is a key part of this movement as we will demonstrate at this year’s expo.”
