According to a blog post over at Citrix.com, VDI-in-a-Box Project Curacao Tech Preview will be released on the 7th of May.

Project Curacao delivers a simple, complete VDI solution with personalized and pooled desktops. It runs on latest Windows operating systems, supports latest hypervisors, and comes with better supportability. Project Curacao extends Citrix VDI-in-a-Box with several features:

  1. Fully supported Windows 8 virtual desktops with HDX connection
  2. Personal desktop support for Windows 8
  3. Single Sign-On through Access Gateway on VDI-in-a-Box web interface
  4. SSL certificate installation UI

Project Curacao adds HDX connection to Windows 8 virtual desktops, along with numerous other HDX enhancements  in areas of video quality and bandwidth efficiency, H.264 encoding in HDX SuperCodec, DirectX 3D application support, etc. Now VDI-in-a-Box users can enjoy the same high-definition, high-performing HDX technology on the latest Windows platform.
