VDI-in-a-Box 5.3
Citrix VDI-in-a-Box 5.3 is now released. The all-in-one VDI solution that delivers personalized virtual desktops for less than the cost of new PCs. VDI-in-a-Box is available as a virtual appliance that runs on industry standard servers and eliminates the need for expensive datacenter infrastructure. Powered by Citrix HDX technology, VDI-in-a-Box delivers an excellent quality of experience to users anytime, anywhere and on any device. Designed for desktop IT administrators, VDI-in-a-Box delivers an immediate return on investment (ROI) by being simpler and less expensive to set up and manage than PCs.
Note for current VDI-in-a-Box 5.x customers
- Moving your existing VDI-in-a-Box 5.1 grid to version 5.3 requires server migration to version 5.2 first.
- Moving your existing VDI-in-a-Box 5.2 grid to version 5.3 requires server upgrade.
This is new in version 5.3:
- Support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 as a virtual desktop
- Support for the latest version of the XenServer, vSphere an Hyper-V hypervisors
- Support for personal vDisks on Windows 8
- Single sign-on support from NetScaler
- Universal Print Server
- SSL certificate installation user interface
