Cisco VXI – Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Basic Installation Lab Featuring Citrix XenDesktop 5
Cisco Virtual EXperience Infrastructure (VXI) is the latest Cisco multi-technical architectural initiative involving Data Center, Collaboration and Borderless Networks. VXI is an end-to-end systems approach that delivers the next generation virtual workspace by unifying virtual desktops, voice, and video. It helps IT provide an exceptionally flexible and secure converged infrastructure for an uncompromised user experience.
What is Cisco VDI?
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is being widely deployed by IT managers to centralize employee desktops, applications, and data in the data center. Most VDI solutions today run in a virtualized data center environment to further improve the manageability and security derived from consolidating hundreds and thousands of desktops to run on a few powerful servers.
Citrix XenDesktop is a desktop virtualization solution that transforms Windows desktops and applications into an on-demand service available to any user, anywhere, on any device. With XenDesktop, you can securely deliver individual Windows, and web applications, or full virtual desktops, to PCs, Macs, tablets, smart phones, laptops and thin clients — all with a high-definition user experience.
This training will cover the basics of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) as a fundamental building block for VXI.
