Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) – Known Issues with Citrix Receiver for Mac
There have been multiple reports of issues with Citrix products and the new Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion). Below is a summary of what Citrix knows and has tested.
The following clients are not supported and not recommended with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion):
- Access Gateway Plug-in (All versions up to 2.0.1)
- Citrix Receiver (Updater) for Mac 2.1
The following have been tested and are supported with Lion:
- Citrix Receivers for Mac 11.2 and 11.3.
Reported Issues and Status
Citrix Access Gateway Plug-in:
Issue: Usage of the client might yield kernel panics as well as high CPU and battery power utilization.
Status: Citrix is currently investigating this issue.
Citrix Receiver (Updater) for Mac 2.1:
Issue: Connection issues to farms.
Status: A target date for support of the Citrix Receiver Updater has not yet been determined.
Citrix Receivers for Mac 11.2 and 11.3
Issue: If you observe any issues with Citrix Receiver after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), uninstall and reinstall the Receiver from Citrix downloads or the Apple store.
Status: Citrix has not reproduced any issues with 11.2 and 11.3 Receivers. In addition, a Tech Preview of the 11.4 version can be found on MyCitrix.
Web Interface
Issue: Citrix Viewer crashes when connecting through Web Interface 5.3 or 5.4 and using Receiver for Mac 11.2 or 11.3.
Status: Citrix has been unable to reproduce any crashes. Refer to resolution information below.
