Nutanix strengthens leadership team to accelerate growth in EMEA

Alexander Ervik Johnsen Cloud, EMEA, Enterprise Cloud, NTNX, Nutanix 2016-10-25

Nutanix hyperconverged

Nutanix, the next-generation enterprise cloud platform company, bolstered its EMEA team with three major new hires.

Chris Kaddaras joins as Vice President and Head of EMEA, Patrick D. Cowden takes up the role of Vice President for Central Europe and Emerging Markets, while Mark Lewis has been appointed Senior Director of EMEA Marketing. Their roles are effective immediately.

The new arrivals will sharpen Nutanix’s focus on EMEA growth as the business looks to capitalise on the soaring opportunity of cloud with its Enterprise Cloud Platform. By 2020, a corporate “no-cloud” policy will be as rare as a “no-internet” policy is today, according to Gartner1.

Chris was with EMC for 15 years, where he held positions including Vice President of Sales and Presales across EMEA. With a 24-year track record in IT and a passion for developing strategies to help business successfully articulate its proposition to customers and partners, his insight on leadership, operational efficiency, performance and communications is regularly shared with peers and customers through industry events.

Reporting to Chris, Patrick will draw upon his extensive experience from senior management responsibilities at Hitachi, Dell and EMC. A German-American, Patrick is a known author and presenter in both English and German languages.

With a target-driven approach across a number of verticals including telco, finance and government, Mark has successfully delivered messaging and communication strategies for a number of blue chip companies including Cloudera, EMC and Riverbed.

“We empower our people to interpret and adapt our values to best fit their needs across EMEA and beyond.” said Sudheesh Nair, President of Nutanix.

“The new strategic hires will have a pivotal role to play, as our growth has been accelerated due to a rapid increase in customers, partners and employees. Chris, Patrick and Mark will not only drive our enterprise cloud solutions to new markets, but also cement our approach as a global company committed to local markets.”
