If you use VMware App Volumes in a multi-site scenario, one of the challenges is to be able to recover writable volumes in a remote site in case of a disaster. This video demonstrates how to replicate the writable volumes using Nutanix Async DR and failover after a failure in the primary site. You configure a protection domain by using Async DR feature (up to 1-hour RPO) or NearSync DR (up to 1-minute RPO ) by defining a group of entities (VMs and volume groups) that are backed up locally on a cluster and optionally replicated to one or more remote sites.
