Cenzic and Citrix work together for Citrix Cloud Solution

Alexander Ervik Johnsen cenzic, Citrix, Citrix Application Firewall, Citrix Cloud Solutions, Cloud Computing, NetScaler 2010-05-18

Cenzic Inc., the leading provider of Web application security assessment and risk management solutions, today announced it is working with Citrix to deliver the new Citrix Cloud Solution for Compliance — one of seven solutions in a comprehensive, integrated suite of products enabling cloud service providers to efficiently host and deliver applications. The new solution combines Cenzic Web application vulnerability assessment technology with Citrix NetScaler Application Firewall to provide companies with improved compliance, at a lower cost and with less demand on the system.

Cloud computing is a cost effective and efficient way for enterprises to automate their processes. Citrix Cloud Solutions offer significant performance advantages, cost benefits and higher availability compared with traditional data center infrastructure build-outs. To assure continued compliance with business goals as enterprise organizations transition to the cloud, real-time visibility of the performance of cloud applications from the end-user perspective is vital. For the Citrix Cloud Solution for Compliance, Citrix has worked with Cenzic and combined the fundamental benefits of cloud computing with the technology of a mature Web application security solution to deliver a compliance offering which meets numerous regulations including FISMA, GLBA and PCI-DSS.

“Even though a Web application may be executing off-premise, there is still the need to continuously gather and analyze new threats and vulnerabilities, respond to actual attacks and monitor the effectiveness of the existing security controls,” said Sunil Potti, vice president of product management and product marketing, Networking and Cloud Product Group, Citrix. “Any new information and analysis should also result in updating the security, risk and implementation controls. Cenzic’s trusted Web application security technology does exactly this, rounding out our turnkey compliance solution for the enterprise.”

The Citrix Cloud Solution for Compliance offers deep interoperability with Cenzic Web application security technology. Cenzic solutions automatically crawl the Web site and identify a comprehensive set of vulnerabilities in Web applications which can then be used to configure Netscaler Application Firewall to block attacks from hackers. Together the solutions work to protect customers’ sensitive information while also helping them meet regulatory compliance guidelines.

“The integration between Cenzic Products (Hailstorm and ClickToSecure) and Citrix NetScaler Application Firewall will allow organizations to provide complete Web application protection and defend against increasingly common Web attacks,” said John Weinschenk, president and CEO of Cenzic. “Organizations can achieve compliance in the cloud by deploying the turnkey Citrix Cloud Solution for Compliance offered by our Cloud Service Partners. Cenzic is pleased to be part of this launch and looks forward to meeting our customer’s needs as they deploy applications in the cloud.”
