Citrix reinforced its leadership in the Middle East technology industry by scooping up the hotly contested Cloud Vendor of the Year trophy at the 6th Annual Arabian Computer News’ Arab Technology Awards at GITEX 2010.
he award showcased the efforts of the Citrix Middle East team to educate, train and sell Cloud and Virtualisation solutions to small and large enterprise customers throughout the region. As a result, many organisations now use Citrix technology to virtualise their Windows applications and deliver computing as an on-demand service. An array of customer references from across the banking, healthcare, education and oil & gas sectors made the winning case for the trophy.
“Citrix has massively expanded its cloud-based solutions portfolio over the past year,” said Ben Furfie, Editor, Arabian Computer News. “Rather than taking a horizontal approach that attempts to cater to every customer regardless of size and focus, its solutions are based on the core philosophy that a workload-centric approach is needed to successfully deliver cloud services.”
