HERMES SoftLab Releases Citrix XenApp Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager

HERMES SoftLab, a ComTrade company, announces the release of a Citrix XenApp Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. This new Management Pack adds extensive support for Citrix XenApp and complements the Citrix XenServer Management Pack HERMES SoftLab released at Microsoft Management Summit 2009.

Organizations with operations management standardized around Microsoft System Center Operations Manager are now able to equip their staff with out-of-box monitoring knowledge, tasks, and reports created specifically to enable day-to-day supervision of Citrix XenApp and XenServer estates. Both Management Packs were developed in cooperation with Microsoft and Citrix and provide comprehensive health, performance, and topology information, all natively integrated into the Operations Manager platform.

“HERMES SoftLab’s broad experience with Citrix Delivery Center puts us in a unique position to offer a power-user grade management solution for Citrix users,” said Gregor Smrekar, general manager for HERMES SoftLab International Business. “Our Citrix Xen Management Packs have always been envisioned as a comprehensive solution suite for Citrix Management. We started with Citrix XenServer, released Citrix XenApp support today and we’ll be announcing full support for Citrix XenDesktop before the end of the year.”

“The functionality and economics of Microsoft’s System Center solutions help customers build a more agile IT infrastructure,” said Paul Ross, group product marketing manager, System Center Marketing, Microsoft Corp. “HERMES SoftLab’s Management Packs built on the System Center platform address core enterprise technologies and add value to IT organizations – especially the ones using System Center solutions with existing investments in Citrix and Siebel.”

HERMES SoftLab’s Management Packs for Citrix Xen are natively integrated with Microsoft’s System Center Operations Manager and are designed to deliver immediate and long-term value across IT organizations: from operations staff and Citrix specialists to IT managers and CIO’s. Featuring complete infrastructure and end-user monitoring as well as full topology discovery and unified management, they help guarantee resilience and reliability across Citrix XenServer and XenApp deployments.

In addition, a new version of the Siebel Management Pack has been released that now includes a complete Report Pack and support for Oracle Business Intelligence. HERMES SoftLab’s Siebel Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager – launched in 2008 – provides a comprehensive ‘end-to-end’ service management perspective of Oracle Siebel CRM infrastructure within the Operations Manager environment.
