TS-x59 Pro+ Turbo NAS Series is Verified as Citrix Ready

QNAP Systems, Inc., a leading provider of world-class Network Attached Storage (NAS), today announced its TS-x59 Pro+ Turbo NAS series has been certified as Citrix Ready(R) for Citrix XenServer(R) targeting at providing internal server virtualization for SMB and entry-level enterprises.

XenServer is the enterprise-ready, cloud-proven virtualization platform that contains all the capabilities required to create and manage a virtual infrastructure. It is trusted by demanding organizations to run the most mission-critical applications and used by the largest clouds and xSPs. TS-x59 Pro+ Turbo NAS series features ultra-high performance for their incorporation of a dual-core Intel(R) Atom(TM) processor, positively capable of processing multiple tasks concurrently yet remaining low power consumption. “QNAP is now ready to provide a device with full compatibility in Citrix environment that can be deployed with confidence as joint QNAP and Citrix solution,” said JAUSSAUD Jerome, Product Manager of QNAP.

TS-x59 Pro+ series has been verified as Citrix Ready for Citrix XenServer 5.6. They are the most affordable storage systems for SMB and entry-level enterprise customers intending to adopt server virtualization technology for the first time. QNAP Turbo NAS additionally includes multiple unique features:

Flexible Storage Expansion with Ease of Management

QNAP Turbo NAS supports up to 16TB storage capacity and offers flexibility of storage expansion by using its unique Virtual Disk Drive feature that utilize the built-in iSCSI initiator to connect to other iSCSI targets on the network and turn them into virtual disks as local disk volumes, with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 5+hot spare, 6+hot spare configurations, advanced RAID management tools including online RAID capacity expansion, online RAID level migration, and RAID recovery supported.

Feature-rich-and-integrated Applications for Business

QNAP Turbo NAS supports file sharing across Windows, Mac, Linux, and UNIX platforms by supporting multiple protocols and serves as both iSCSI and NFS storage repository, which offers IT administrators, the flexibility of deployment. The dual-Giga LAN design provides load balancing and failover to sustain any single point of failure, keeping the connection alive between the guest OSes running on the XenServer and the QNAP NAS.

iSCSI for Virtualization Deployments

With enterprise-level iSCSI features such as SPC-3 compliant, multiple LUNs (logical unit number) per target, MPIO, MC/S, and LUN masking, QNAP Turbo NAS is also a much more affordable solution than Fibre Channel SAN for virtualized and clustered server environments.
