Unitrends to Feature Boomerang at the AWS Government, Education and Nonprofits Symposium
Unitrends hasannounced it will feature Unitrends Boomerang at the upcoming Amazon Web Services (AWS) Government, Education and Nonprofits Symposium. Unitrends Boomerang is an easy-to-use and cost-effective virtual appliance for replicating VMware virtual machines (VMs) to the AWS cloud for low-cost backup and disaster recovery. Boomerang also automatically remodels replicated VMs to native Amazon Machine Images for fast execution, providing an ideal solution for migrating from on-premise systems to the cloud and for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS). To date, Unitrends customers have successfully migrated thousands of VMs using Boomerang.
“Until recently, migrating applications to the cloud has been a complex and daunting process for IT professionals,” said Ryan Mangan, vExpert and managing director at Systech IT Solutions. “Unitrends Boomerang provides an easy way to migrate VMware environments to AWS and enable cloud-based DRaaS. At a time when agility and elasticity are required in the data center, Boomerang provides invaluable benefits.”
