Wow the Citrix Receiver for iPad really works great

Alexander Ervik Johnsen channelworld, Citrix, citrixcloud.net, IDG, iPad, NetApp, Receiver, SMS PASSCODE April 18, 2010

I was doing a presentation at this years annual IDG ChannelWorld here in Norway on thursday last week.
One of the NetApp people had an iPad, and guess what, he also had the Citrix Receiver installed. But, he did not know how to set it up to work. So, while we were talking to customers and partners on our Arrow ECS Norway stand, which was together with SMS Passcode, NetApp and other vendors, I made an account for him with the citrixcloud.net service. Fast as lightning we had the iPad up and running with Windows Applications. Fast, and super usability. I hope Citrix considers to have the XenDesktop via the Citrixcloud.net service, because seeing is believing… I’m in the mix of building a new demo center at work, and when I travel( if Iceland don’t screw things up for me) I’ll buy a couple of iPads to do demos with XenDesktop and XenApp. The sorry part of my session at ChannelWorld was that the NetApp guy had to go, just before my session started. That sucked, because I had a plan to run my presentation on it, since he also had a VGA connector. Oh, well, I guess I’ll do that after Synergy then, if Iceland don’t stop all us Europeans from traveling that is…
