Citrix and Fujitsu eye A-NZ mobility market together

Alexander Ervik Johnsen Citrix, Cloud, Fujitsu, VDI, XenApp, XenDesktop, XenMobile 2014-08-12

Whether it is smartphones, tablets or e-readers, people are using mobile devices these days and Fujitu’s strategic partnership with Citrix provides a single point of expertise and ownership for our customers’ mobility services, delivering the highest service standards possible and a performance our customers can rely on. Five years ago Fujitsu became a tier one system integrator (SI) partner with Citrix and now transacts with them in 24 countries, with the goal for this number to reach 30 this year. The mobility conversation may be driving Citrix’s business in A/NZ, though Fujitsu is also interested in the trend. Citrix and Fujitsu have been partners for 15 years, and our focus is mobility.

Clark said Fujitsu is using Citrix products as the cornerstone of two of their global offerings, virtual client services and managed mobile. “Many of their largest customers around the world are using Citrix-based Fujitsu solutions that are wrapped with Fujitsu services to enable businesses,”

The mobility conversation may be driving Citrix’s business in A/NZ, though Fujitsu is also interested in the trend. The two companies have been partners for 15 years, and Citrix global systems integrator development (Fujitsu) senior director, John-Marc Clark, said the recent focus has been mobility. “Whether it is smartphones, tablets or e-readers, people are using mobile devices these days,” he said. The key opportunity Clark is seeing for the two companies in A/NZ is helping public and private organisations develop a mobility strategy.

” Fujitsu can help with any mobility solutions you may need to enable people to work better. Whether or not your mobility strategy to be a Cloud-based, on-premise or hybrid offering Fujitsu can help with this”, Clark said.

As a Cloud integration services provider, and a transformer of on-premise to Cloud-based environments, Clark said that is where Fujitsu adds value. Not only is the existing relationship between the two companies mature, Clark also describes Fujitsu as one of Citrix’s “most strategic SI partners in the world.” “Fujitsu’s workplace anywhere vision is aligned with Citrix’s, and they have bought into the notion of Cloud and mobility”.
