Customers who added their XenServer hosts to Microsoft’s System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) found that their hosts were incorrectly labelled as XenServer ‘5’, rather than XenServer ‘6’ hosts. This updated pack resolves this problem, and SCOM will now report the correct XenServer version number.

Instructions for Installation

1. Download the new Microsoft System Center Integration Pack from the Citrix XenServer 6.1.0 Download page.
2. Install the pack following the instructions outlined in CTX134589 – XenServer 6.1.0 Supplemental Packs & the DDK Guide.

Verify that the new version of the Integration Pack is installed. On a local shell enter:

 xe host-param-get uuid=<host-uuid> param-name=software-version

Identify the version number of the xs:xenserver-integration-suite label. If updated correctly it should display v6.1.0.1
