Virsto Software, an innovative provider of VM-centric storage hypervisor software, today announced its recognition by Citrix Ready as the “Best Storage Savings” solution in the 2011 Storage Challenge. Citrix invited all Citrix Ready storage partners to reveal what makes their storage solutions best for Citrix XenDesktop environments. This contest enabled storage partners to demonstrate how their solutions addressed specific needs including performance, manageability, cost, ease of use, lowered power consumption and other relevant issues regarding storage in XenDesktop environments.

The Citrix Ready Storage Challenge kicked off in October 2011, with videos submitted by Citrix Ready storage partners: Atlantis Computing, Dell, EMC, HP, Nexenta, Sanbolic and Virsto. Citrix Ready partners demonstrated to the community what makes their innovative tools and storage solutions unique, and how they help end users deploy virtualization solutions through innovative and informative videos. The voting closed on November 11th, 2011.
