Citrix CloudBridge Certified for NetApp SnapMirror Deployments to Accelerate Enterprise Data Replication

Citrix CloudBridge WAN optimization solution portfolio is certified for NetApp SnapMirror deployments, allowing enterprises to significantly reduce storage replication time and corresponding bandwidth requirements. As part of this, Citrix has tested and validated its CloudBridge appliances with the NetApp SnapMirror technology. The combined NetApp and Citrix CloudBridge solution can provide up to ten times the improvement in replication times over the optimal NetApp configurations, with a correspondingly significant reduction in WAN traffic. This new capability is delivered in addition to the existing benefits of the CloudBridge portfolio, including XenDesktop optimization, application acceleration, and secure, optimized tunneling to third party cloud providers.

The Citrix CloudBridge WAN optimization portfolio helps enterprises reduce WAN bandwidth congestion, improve the virtual desktop user experience, and accelerate traditional enterprise applications while providing a secure interconnection of enterprise branch and datacenter location with public and private cloud networks. When deployed in conjunction with Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, and ShareFile solutions, the CloudBridge portfolio can reduce bandwidth required per user by almost 90 percent, while also providing significant performance improvements for traditional enterprise applications such as email, file sharing, and database transactions.
